In line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to strengthen international partnerships and advance the industrial sector, BAZ Int’l Industry Co. announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SAAL Industrial Technology Co., a subsidiary of China’s Baotou City Joyun Co., specializing in steel pipe manufacturing technologies.
This partnership supports local content and industrial knowledge transfer, aiming to localize the production of seamless and spiral pipes used in key sectors such as water and gas, which were previously imported to meet local demand.
Under this agreement, an integrated industrial ecosystem will be developed within the Kingdom, combining global expertise with BAZ local capabilities, a leading company in the steel sector since 1978.
The partnership also reinforces SAAL role as a strategic local partner, contributing to building a strong industrial base that supports market needs and self-sufficiency.
As part of its long-term impact, the partnership focuses on developing national talent through knowledge transfer and enhancing the skills of Saudi youth, strengthening the sector’s competitiveness locally and globally.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of both parties, where BAZ was represented by Sheikh Saeed Baghlaf and SAAL by Ms. Li Xiumei.
The MoU was signed on Thursday, April 2, marking a step toward transferring advanced technologies, improving production efficiency, and supporting the national economy.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to industrial transformation and sustainable development in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
